NorthPoint Development was seeking a use variance to construct a 566,840-square-foot building on a 117-acre lot. Policastro did not elaborate on why the application was being withdrawn. However, attorney Marc Policastro, who represents the applicant, announced in an April 16 letter that NorthPoint Development was requesting to have the application immediately withdrawn. The public hearing regarding the application was scheduled to continue on April 19. Hundreds of area residents viewed the meeting which was conducted in a virtual manner during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. ![]() The applicant’s representatives appeared before the zoning board for a public hearing on March 15.
